About me

Developer, designer and problem-solver since 2010

I'm John Tallow, the developer behind Tallowfern Code Works. I help startups and established teams ship websites and web apps that are fast, accessible and easy to maintain.

My story

From first line of code to 150 launches

I started building websites in 2010 with plain HTML and CSS, and grew with the web — through JavaScript frameworks, component libraries and modern build tools. Today I work mainly with React, JavaScript and headless CMS platforms.

My clients range from solo founders to funded startups. What they share is a need for someone who owns the whole build: structure, design polish, performance and launch — without handoffs getting lost.

How I work

A simple process, no surprises

01 — Discover

We map your goals, audience and must-have pages in a focused kickoff call, then agree a fixed scope and timeline.

02 — Design & build

I design in the browser and share a staging link early, so you watch the site take shape and give feedback weekly.

03 — Launch & support

Testing, performance tuning and analytics setup, then launch — with 30 days of free fixes after go-live.
